Lake Louise

Located in Otsego County, Michigan

Lake Louise, or Lake Lewis, is located in central Michigan and about one hour southeast of Petoskey. The small town has just under 2,500 residents.

The nearest hospital is Otsego Memorial Hospital, about 15 miles away. The closest commercial airport is Gaylord Regional Airport, about 13 miles away.

Sunsets and Exploration

Lake Louise is private to property owners, 43-acre, and all sports. The lake is mostly shallow, and no fish have been reported to inhabit the lake. However, the surrounding area is full of lakes and streams that contain various species of fish.

Pigeon River Country State Forest, or “The Big Wild,” lies around 17 miles away from the development and contains various types of trout, bass, panfish, and bluegill. Visitors are also welcome to camp on the property, as well as enjoy hiking, horseback riding, elk viewing, and hunting.

A Small Town Community

Living in Johannesburg might be remote, but the town has some local favorites that will be sure to please. The Old Depot provides classic local cuisine, Paul’s Pub gives customers a fun atmosphere, good food, and has trivia night. J&B’s Bar & Grill was voted the best burger in Michigan and is perfect for an elevated dinner and drinks.
